Yet I am poor and needy. May the Lord think on me

“ Yet I am poor and needy. May the Lord think on me.” Psalm 40:17

“ Nobody gains a good name from what he is receiving, but on what he is giving.” Anonym author

During the Great French Revolution on 5 and 6-th October 1789, the inhabitants of Paris get out in street to protest, because the poverty became so deep and hard to manage. People were asking for bread with a low voice. An important Lady from Court, Lady Polignac, listening what was happening in the street, told to the queen Mary Antoaneta:” What stupid this people who want only bread. They could buy some sponge cake!”

If you need something, go with your problem in the front of God. He is knowing the realities of your life and more than that, He is highly interested about everything it is concerning you. He is really able to give you sponge cake when you do not find bread.
