In 1547, Edward IV was crowned as king of England. In the big day, he received three swards as a symbol of the three countries he had to rule. „One more sword is missing”, the young kind said. Everybody felt puzzled because they do not understood what is missing. „The Bible, the sword of the Holy Spirit!” the king answered. „Bring it here because I cannot rule my kingdom without it.” Since then, the Bible was always present to the big royal ceremonies of coronation.
Maybe is time to thank God for the Bible gift today.
