When the Second World War started, Musollini implemented a new law: no Italian was allowed to immigrate to America. Two men living in a small town were particularly affected by that. One, a very rich man living in the US for a long time. He was a very influent person and he get to the Embassy for his return visa. Despite he had been living for lot of time in the US, he didn’t applied for citizenship. The official had to respect the law and therefore he do not issued the visa. The second person, a simple agriculture worker. His English was poor, but..... he became an American citizen. With his bad English he asked for a visa and it was obviously
granted. „You are not under the Italian law!” said the official.
