In Biblical times, the Jewish custom was to take acre about their parents till the end of their lives. The same happened when the apostles were asked to follow Jesus. The familial obligations of one of them came in conflict with the call of God.
Our dilemma is not in following or not God, but on what’s the best time for doing what. He said to respect your parents and He cannot ask you to do in contradiction with that.
Are you in troubles? Are you not sure what is best thing to do? Are you unsure what the priorities are? Kneel and ask God to give you a clear mind and to help you to do the right think.
