“Your mercy, o Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.” Psalm 36:5
In 1799, the troops of Napoleon approached Feldkirch at the Austrian border. It was for the second time when the Napoleon’s troops were attacking it. The first try failed but the enemy was now stronger. It was the Easter day. “Let’s wait for the church bell to ring first”, the country people said. “We should show them that we are not afraid.”
The French thought...”Austrian solders should be coming during the night and they are ready to fight for sure. That’s why the church bell is ringing.” Therefore they were afraid to risk and the French officers ordained their troops to return. They disappeared before the bell ring stopped.
Be courageous today and get over your fears.
