“So Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you yourself desire, I will do it for you.” 1 Samuel 20:4
It happens often to be disappointed by people. You may meet a nice young man or young lady, beautiful, smart, talkative and friendly. It is for the first time when somebody gives you a special attention. That makes you think that maybe you should invest all in that person. “We will be true friends!” All fine for one or two months. You spend a lot of time together. You share all. No one counts how much receives or gives. But one day….he or she meets another friend and gives up on you. And you will end by loosing your trust in people. But don’t forget! God left true friends in this world yet. You just need to find them! And even more! When you found the true friend, you may need to do all for her/him!
Do you need a real friend? But did you prove that you are a real friend yourself?
“It is better to close your ears to a hurting word for you to gain a friend than to loose a friend because you said something hurting”. Friedrich Schiller |
